Hyundai’s 2011 Equus is being touted as the most
affordable luxury car on the market. As Hyundai Motor Company’s
full-size, opulent and priciest sedan, it is considered to be their
flagship model. The 2011 Equus is for the person who
wants all the comforts and prestige that a Mercedes or Lexus have to

Many doubted Hyundai’s ability to transition to a legitimate player in the luxury car arena when the Genesis Sedan was first announced. Some of them changed their minds when they say and drove the car. More minds will be chagning with the Equus, perhps all the moreso with an IIHS Top Safety Pick rating under its belt.

The Veloster, available late this summer, is the slow-to-arrive replacement for the Tiburon sport coupe that was phased out following the 2008 model year. Hyundai always planned to replace its entry-level “shark” (that’s what Tiburon means in Spanish), but it first focused on launching the upstart Genesis coupe that runs in the same rear-wheel-drive class as the Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger, but without the V-8 option, of course.
